My Birthday Week

My week started Friday November 14th, we had a suprise party for Wilfrieda because her birthday was on the 15th. So we distracted her inside while I got the keys to her car and unlocked it so that the missionaries could fill her WHOLE car with balloons and cover her windows with paper. Then we tied a HUGE balloon to her car... it was so much fun! We had her going that one of our Elders was getting emergnecy transferred out of the area and he's only been there for like a week. Then we all suprised her and had a fun little party.
Then on Saturday we went to New York for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. It was so fun, I went with Auntie Stephanie, mom, and Lola. We took a train into Grand Central and the walked... we found a street market that we spent about 3 hours in. It was so awesome... I got all sorts fo stuff and only spent about $30. It was really neat. Then we went to the show! There is a reason why they call it Spectacular..... it was.
Sunday was stake conference... it was really good. And I made a new friend, there is a new sailor in our ward and he came over to dinner, he's really nice. Then we had FHE on Sunday night with the Lynch's. Mark did the lesson. It was Masterpiece Theater... we had to act out parables...lol it was so much fun. It was cool seeing everybody's take on them and see their sense of humor.
Monday... the 17th was Adrian's birthday, I got to talk to him a little bit on the phone. He's sooooo cute... I love his little boy voice.
Tuesday was my birthday... it was a really good day. I went to work as usual, while at work I was vistited by Wilfrieda and then a couple hours later the missionaries came in and acted like they didn't know it was my birthday. Then I had YW's. The girls made a card for me it was really nice. Then I noticed Tori was missing from YWs so I went out in the hall to see where she went... all of a sudden I hear "DANG IT!!!" Lola, Tori, Wilfrieda, mom, and the missionaries were coming down the hall with balloons, cards, a guitar, and a cake! They were SOOO mad, they were like "GET BACK IN THERE AND ACT AS IF YOU KNOW NOTHING!!!" So I went back in and they came in and started singing Happy Birthday! It was alot of fun.
So needless to say it was a really great week.... I wish more weeks were like this one.
BTW Lola's birthday is coming up on Tuesday... any ideas for a great prank/suprise? I need some really stealth ideas

YW in Excellence

Sorry I'm so horrible about comign on here.
Tuesday night was YW in Excellence, I thought it went really well. We did it all on "the worth of soles" get it? We did everything about feet and shoes, we made sugar cookies in the shape of feet ans decorated them so they looked like they were wearinf flip flops and we used m&ms as the toenails. The girls did a great job with their displays, a lot of thought went into each of them I was so impressed. We viewed the slide show that I made.... it was really good if I do say so myself hehe. And then as a gift we gave them this beautiful picture of the Savior washing the apostle's feet. They turned out beautifully.
We've also been having tons of fun pranking the missionaries. We've been getting them so good the past couple of days... they've been shaking in their badges. The best part is that we haven't even had to do anything!!! We told them that Tori was out doing something to their car so when they went outside they were looking at their car up and down totally examining it bumper to bumper. It was fabulous. So then Lola got out of the car and put a napkin on their hood and ran and got back in the car, well they caught her a started chasing her so I put the car in drive and drove off. Then we drove around pointing and laughing at them so they chased my car. I threw it into reverse and backed up and they caught up to us and sprayed my car with Mountain Dew. So we drove off, we got down the road and Lola goes we should go sit in their parking lot until they get home and then drive off. I was like better yet we should pull up and Lola get out and wait by the door and when I say "now" fling the door open and run and get in the car and we'll drive off. So we got there and we waited.... and waited... and waited. Finally I called Wilfrieda and asked her if they left the church yet and she was like yeah and the missionaries are right behind me, we're like almost home. So I was ok bye. I had Lola practice really quick, and just after that they pulled in. So I started yelling, "NOW NOW THIS IS NOT A DRILL THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!!!" so then we drove off. We drove around their building and we got to the traffic light Elder Warren was waiting down there for us so we just drove and I made an illegal turn on red to get away. So then we turned around and went back and they were still outside hahaha. So we pulled over to talk to them, they were like WHAT DID YOU DO? And we were like nothing!!! They totally thought we went in their apt. to do something. It was great. We finally told them the truth, and they were like MAN you got us!!! It was awesome because we didn't even have to do anything and got away with it.
Next time I'll tell you about last night and possibly upload the video so you can see. It's amazing! We're awesome!

My new obsession

So I have this new obsession! I am really getting into scrapbooking. Before it was just card making but I just started learning how to actually scrapbook the other night and it is so satisfying. Christina invited me over to her house the other night and we scrapbooked for like 3 hours and I'm going again on Monday. But I don't think I can wait until then.

Other than that there's not much else going on, I learned part of Thriller at FHE the other night. That was fabulous. I quit Dixie Donuts and Lola is going back so that'll be nice to not have to wake up at 3:30am anymore.

I've been keeping very busy with the Young Women, we went repelling a couple of weeks ago and we've had a few birthdays so I now have 4 Mia Maids, they've come a long way since the 2 I started with in May. I love them so much. Tori is doing great, she started semminary last Monday and she likes every part except how early she has to wake up lol. But she's doing great.

Lola moved back home last week and I love having her home, she's so funny and a blast to be around. She and I played with a bunch of the kids in the ward this morning at the 5K walk a thon, we had so much fun and so did the kids. I had them all sit on one end of the see saw and I ran and jumped on the other end and then bounced them, they freaked!!! They loved it so much they were like butt bounce me AGAIN!!!!

So I'm keeping busy and having fun doing it, other than that nothing is going on.

My Updates

Hey guys, sorry it's been so long. It's been crazy and the only time I have to come on my computer is when I am preparing my lesson for Sunday.

Some good news! My friend Tori is getting baptized on August 15th. I am so excited for her and very pleased with her decision. I met her parents again and had dinner at her house with the missionaries, mom, and Brent. It was great and they are being very good about her choice to be baptized. They were a lot of fun, her brother was a lot nicer than Tori lead on, I was picturing the worst, lmbo.

Other than that there's not much going on. Some of the YW are out of town on vacation or at EFY, and I can't wait for them to come home! I miss them a lot. I've been very busy with them and getting to know them better, it's great. I was so worried that I wouldn't have anything in common with them and it would be hard for me to love them. But it was almost instant that I felt a Christ-like love for them, they are wonderful girls.

We went to a cemetary for Standards Night on Tuesday night, the girls were very creative with their stories and they tied in with the lesson perfectly! I was really impressed. We are getting a new Laurel (Tori), and new girl moving in in a couple of weeks, and Hannah Hutchins turning 12 next month, I can't wait to have a full Young Womens again.

TTYL!

Time Flies

It's been a crazy month... between work, Young Womans, Young Single Adults, and family stuff I feel like I have no time for myself. On the more positive side I haven't had time to get into trouble!
Yesterday was Mark's birthday and we went down to Eastern Point Beach for a party. It was so fun, Christina and Brian were there and Alesha Christensen came out. It was just like old times it was really nice.
Tonight we're going to a luau in Manchester. Alesha is coming to that also, I'm very excited! It'll be so much fun, I can't wait.
Well, thats all for now. I think I'm gonna take a nap before we head out. I'm really tired.

A New Calling

Today I was sustained as the first councilor in the Young Womens Presidency... CRAZY!!! I am really excited to get to know our Young Women better. We have some fantastic youth in our ward and I'm sure I will learn a lot from them.
It is sort of bittersweet though, this means I will be released from my Stake YSA calling. I am really sad about that but I know that the Lord know what he's doing and I was getting really burned out with that calling. The great thing is that I will be able to prepare the young women in my ward for the next stage in their life because I am still living it and because I have been working in that capacity for so long. The girls seemed really excited also, I got hugs from a few of them and some of the mothers were saying that their daughters were very excited about having me as their leader. That made me feel so much better. I was starting to allow the doubts to sink in, when Brother Thompson set me apart this morning, all those doubts went away and I knew with a surity that this is where I am supposed to be. I am so greatful for the gift of the Holy Ghost that testifies to me constantly of who I am. I can't wait to help the Young Women to understand their roles and who they are also. It took me a long time but I hope that I will be able to help them to understand what it took me years to understand.
Well, I suppose thats all for tonight. I am starting to get really tired and I have to work tomorrow :(
